Today I have a SUPER EXCITING post for you as it is my first ever mani swap! And I have amazingly been able to do this with the wonderful Sarah over at Pardon My Nails.
If you don't know who she is then where have you been? She is a UK nail art blogger just like me, and creates the most beautiful nail art! Also her photography is stunning and I wish my pictures look like hers do!
We decided to do a mani swap instead of a twin nails as we thought it would be easier but boy was it hard to pick just one of her designs to do!
In the end I chose this mani of her to recreate which is a Barry M Floral nail art mani. To create this look she used a Barry M nail art pen and I decided that is what I would do too! See how she created this mani here..
Her nail art was inspired by this beautiful Emma Bridgewater pattern which is actually one of my favourite Emma Bridgewater designs which must be why I ended up choosing this mani! I decided to go back to the pattern that inspired her as a reference while creating this mani.
I started off with one coat of Essie Bikini so Teeny and then added 2 coats of Models Own Indian Ocean before letting them totally dry.
I then grabbed a nail art pen which was from a random nail kit a few years ago so I don't know the brand name… and began creating the designs. I tried to keep as close to Sarahs design as I could be with a few of my own twists. After I had created the design I simply went back in with a dotting tool to add a few final touches and then sealed it all in with my Seche Vite topcoat.
I love love love how this turned out! And I actually think I will create this mani again but with a different base colour because this literally looked so pretty and I had so many people complement my nails…
And if you liked this mani… just wait until you see Sarah's mani. You will have to go over to her blog here to checkout her design but you won't be disappointed especially as she so bravely chose to recreate one of my mani where I was using water decals. She did hers freehand!! AMAZING. Check it out here and there is a sneak peak in the collage at the top of this post.
I loved doing this mani swap and if anyone else would like to do a mani swap please contact me as I would love to do it again!
Thanks to Sarah for taking part in this with me and I am so impressed with your design :) Hope mine was good enough too!
Peace
