Antique Floral Rose Nails

Hey guys! I have a wonderful floral mani for you today that I created using water decals!

So when I first started blogging which is coming up to a year ago now, I was massively into decals especially from Born Pretty Store and Sassy Nailz. They were a super easy way to create nail art without having to actually sit down for ages drawing lines etc… The other day I came across my decal folder and decided to create another mani using decals!

I love all things floral decals and these caught my eye straight away!

I debated just doing an accent nail, mainly because I love the polish I used as a base from Rimmel. But I decided to go all out and do all of my nails with a decal because it only takes a few minutes and the end result is so pretty.

These decals also come with little glitter dots in the centre of some of the roses which makes it look like I put loads of effort into the mani and the truth is it took me about 15 mins! Ooops!

So I started with my base which is a Kate polish from Rimmel London called Soul Session and then when they were dry I began cutting the decals off the sheet. Sadly these don't seem to be on Born Pretty Store anymore for me to share a link but they have so many pretty ones on there still so I wouldn't worry!

Once I have cut the decals out you dimly peel off the plastic cover and dip into water for about 20 seconds. Then slide the decal off the backing paper and place over the nail. If the decal isn't sticking very well just pat the decal with some tissue.

Then I sealed it all in with my Seche Vite and cleaned up the excess decal with acetone!

Ta Dah! So simple and so effective!

What do you think? Feel free to leave your links to decals below I would love to see what you have been making!

Peace.

Revlon Prime & Anti Shine Review

Super quick bonus post for you today on a product that I picked up from Boots the other day!

As a girl with super oily skin, I get very excited when I see anything with Matte or Anti Shine written on it so this caught my eye straight away… I have to admit I don't like the packaging. I think it is a rather ridiculous size for the amount of product you actually get and wish it was a little more compact. But non the less I still wanted to try it and into my basket it went.

Little Red's Easy Treacle Sponge (Oven Baked Not Steamed)

Hey guys! Sorry for not posting last night but to make up for it I have a super tasty Treacle Sponge recipe that is great with ice cream or custard! I don't know about anyone else but this was my favourite pudding as a child but I don't have time for all that steaming and saucepan rubbish so I have created my own oven baked sponge which is so delicious! I hope you like it!

As always a recipe is not a Little Red recipe without cinnamon but if you do not like cinnamon you can simply leave it out and the recipe will not be affected at all.

Zoeva Buffing Brush 104 - Flat Kabuki Review

Second post of the day and this time its a review of my latest edition to my brush collection. It is the Zoeva Buffing Brush 104 that I purchased from Beauty Bay UK

I picked this up after watching a few you tubers use a similar shaped brush and it seemed to make liquid foundation apply effortlessly. I was kind of due a new foundation brush as I have been using the Real Techniques Buffing Brush for a good few years.

Burgundy Polka Dot Nails

Hey guys! Two posts for you today and kicking them off with this Burgandy Mani I created using Essie Sole Mate and a trusty old black from Collection.

This was a really hard mani to photograph because the colours were so similar to each other that you couldn't really see the details. I had originally done this deliberately to create a kind of secret mani that just looked like one colour but was actually more interesting. I hadn't really thought about how I would actually show you guys what it looked like.

Busy Bee Scented Magik Beanz Review

Today I have a quick post on my newest addiction… Melts! Melts are a type of candle wax that you place in the top of an oil burner or melt warmer to create a nice scent in the room.

Most people will know of the Yankee Candle melts but I much prefer these! These are mini wax melts created by a Welsh company called Busy Bee Candles, which they call Magik Beanz. The idea is to place a couple of these into the top of your burner and leave to melt, but because they are so small and individually shaped, they can be mixed with other scent to create your own magical cocktail!

Birchbox January Review and Contents

Hey guys! Time for another Birchbox and this months its not going to be such a positive post as I am really disappointed with its contents.

This months theme is Hit Refresh and for this Birchox partnered up with Womens Health to create a box that is supposed to help you get fit and healthy in 2015. I love the little book that comes in the box with helpful tips and exercises but the rest goes downhill..

Checkered Print Nails - Winter Scarf Inspired

Hey guys! Quick photo filled post for today which I hope you will enjoy because I have had these nails on for a week now and I probably won't take them off for as long as possible!

Last christmas I brought myself a scarf from Urban Outfitters that is dark purple , tan, white and black. I was obsessed with this scarf all of last winter/spring and the same for this winter so I thought I would create some nails inspired by them.

My Top 20 Beauty Products of 2014

Hey guys so I have a super long and picture filled post for you today, outlining my top 20 beauty products of 2014. I realise that this is pretty late and people did these kind of 'favourites of 2014' posts ages ago but yanno… I was ill so give a girl a break.

All of the products are items that I have worn non stop throughout 2014 or fell in love with in 2014 and I know I will still use them for a long time to come so I thought I would share my favourites with you.

I am going to try and keep things pretty short as there are a lot of products to talk about but there may be some a ramble on about so I'm sorry!

MAC Sharon & Kelly Osbourne Blush Review

IM BACCCK! So so sorry to my readers for the lack of posts lately but as soon as christmas was over I got really ill and had a lot going on at work which meant I couldn't really shake off the flu and have now had to take a few days off to get myself back on track. This all means I've had no time or energy to keep up to date with my blog but lets pretend its only just turned 2015 and this is my first post of the year.

I sadly missed out on the collection when it was released around summer 2014 and there were so many good items in the collection but I have been lucky enough to pick up these two blushes which were the items I most wanted anyway! Lucky ey!
