Hey guys! Bonus post today is this mani I created for this weeks Colour Me Crazy theme of Blue. As you will have seen recently… I swatched a beautiful blue Barry M Gelly polish called Damson, so I knew straight away what my main colour would be!
I also had a few questions on my Barry M Neutral Gelly swatches for how I created the accent nail so I decided to recreate it with different colours for this look.
I used the dry brush technique on both my thumb, middle and ring fingers with 7??!?! different colours for a multi-tonal effect.
For this technique you simply brush most of the polish off the brush in the bottle by moving it back and forward on a piece of paper (or in my case the top of the bottle) and then do fast strokes on your nail to leave segmented lines which look a bit rustic and rough.
I used a selection of Rimmel, Barry M and Models Own polishes but my favourites I used were Barry M in Sugar Apple & Damson, Models Own in Indian Ocean and Rimmel Your Majesty.
I love the look the silver and shimmery polishes added to the overall finish.
I then used Damson on my other nails to finish it off!
I like how this look turned out and think Damson is a stunning colour! And check out everyone else designs below!
Hope you like this post and my next post is a SUPER exciting one, so stay tuned!!
