Antique Floral Rose Nails

Hey guys! I have a wonderful floral mani for you today that I created using water decals!

So when I first started blogging which is coming up to a year ago now, I was massively into decals especially from Born Pretty Store and Sassy Nailz. They were a super easy way to create nail art without having to actually sit down for ages drawing lines etc… The other day I came across my decal folder and decided to create another mani using decals!

I love all things floral decals and these caught my eye straight away!

I debated just doing an accent nail, mainly because I love the polish I used as a base from Rimmel. But I decided to go all out and do all of my nails with a decal because it only takes a few minutes and the end result is so pretty.

These decals also come with little glitter dots in the centre of some of the roses which makes it look like I put loads of effort into the mani and the truth is it took me about 15 mins! Ooops!

So I started with my base which is a Kate polish from Rimmel London called Soul Session and then when they were dry I began cutting the decals off the sheet. Sadly these don't seem to be on Born Pretty Store anymore for me to share a link but they have so many pretty ones on there still so I wouldn't worry!

Once I have cut the decals out you dimly peel off the plastic cover and dip into water for about 20 seconds. Then slide the decal off the backing paper and place over the nail. If the decal isn't sticking very well just pat the decal with some tissue.

Then I sealed it all in with my Seche Vite and cleaned up the excess decal with acetone!

Ta Dah! So simple and so effective!

What do you think? Feel free to leave your links to decals below I would love to see what you have been making!

Peace.

Red Polka Dot Nail Art

Hey guys! I hope you are all good and enjoying this beautiful winter weather! Today I have a quick post on these super easy but incredibly effective nails!

I created these a few days ago and I have fallen in love with how they look. They were so easy to create but they look so good and I have had so many compliments… especially from people asking where I got my nail wraps from.

Dry Brush Nail Art

Hey guys! So I'm back from my holiday now and thought I would show you the nails I wore for the WHOLE week… yes they lasted the whole week! I only had a few chips on the last night and peeled them off in the car on the way home (so so bad I know but I was bored, 5 hours is a long time to sit in a car).

These nails were literally so simple to create and they looked so effective. I started off with a base of 2 coats of Essie Sole Mate and when that was dry, I begun taking random colours and making fast strokes using the brush include in the polish but I had brushed most of the polish off on the bottle top.

Rimmel Velvet Matte Swatch

Hey guys! So today I have a single swatch for you because I simply couldn't afford the whole collection, but when I walked into boots and saw these sitting on the shelf I couldn't leave without at least one!

So this is a polish from the new Rimmel London Velvet Matte collection! I chose the colour 014 Sumptuous Red, which I can't say is very red to me but hey ho! This is a beautiful deep purple colour that is perfect for the autumn!

GBBO Inspired - Red Velvet Swiss Roll with White Chocolate Buttercream

Hey everyone. So if you are an avid watcher of The Great British Bake Off just like me… you will know that last week there was a Swiss Roll round! I was inspired by Kate's bake which was a Red Velvet Swiss Roll with a white chocolate buttercream. I just knew I had to recreate this and my mum also asked me to make one.

So I decided to come up with a recipe! This took a few attempts and it isn't particularly neat but thats just not how we roll in my family! (get it roll… swiss roll) ha!

So with all the beautiful releases that have been coming out from Barry M lately (that I really shouldn't buy but desperately want!) I decided to be good and simply rediscover my old favourites to create this floral mani!

Foil Half and Half Mani

Hey guys, so todays mani is especially for my Auntie Nicky, who kindly brought me the foils that I have used to create this so… THANKS Auntie Nicky!!

I have wanted to use these foils ever since she brought me them and experimented a few times but never really got a great result. I think my ideas were too exotic and difficult really but this simple mani worked really well!

My Boyfriend Does my Nails

So today I have a very funny post to share with you guys. In the week my boyfriend came up to take care of me as I had been a bit ill and he lovingly surprise me with roses and breakfast in bed which was so nice!

As I was ill and sad I had little inspiration or energy to make a blog post along with all my uni work soooooo… He kindly said yes to doing my nails as long as I let him do whatever he liked.

Minnie Mouse Cake

Hey guys so I know I hadn't posted in ages until I posted some nails just now (or that my posting has been very willy nilly), but its been due to the fact I went home for easter and couldn't carry my laptop and camera home.

I am going to sit down this weekend and re-arrange my page tabs for separate baking and nail sections after some feedback from fellow bloggers suggested this would be a good method. AND hopefully this will then lead to me having specific posting days for both nail and baking posts.

But for today you will have to have 3 posts… I know a lot, but I may not be able to post again for a while, while I sort out my page.

This is a Minnie Mouse cake my Mum and I created for a 1st birthday.

There will not be a recipe for this, but I will explain how we decorated the cake.
