Sorry for not posting yesterday but I was away for my boyfriend's dad's Birthday! We had such a lovely time in Norfolk and I came home yesterday afternoon so I thought I would have plenty of time to post, but I got so badly sunburnt (even though I wore factor 50) that I literally couldn't move… Ive had like no sleep and can't move one of my arms. But anyway enough about the troubles of being ginger….
Today I have a manicure that I created whilst we were having crazy storms in England. One night it even knocked over a vase in my bathroom and it smashed all over the floor so it was pretty scary!
It was also super cold on the day I created these which is why it may look a bit weird having a super fluffy jumper on in summer but I was snuggled up all day from the storm.
I used all Models Own polishes and started out with a base coat.
I was inspired by some fake roses I have in my room shown above, and just tweaked the colours a little bit...
To create this look I actually mixed my own colour polish using the Models Own Hypergel in Naked Glow and Models Own Polish for Tans in Beach Bag and mixing them together.. That is the colour on my index and pinky. I mixed them together because although I love the brightness of the Polish for Tans, I wanted that to be solely on the flowers and the new colour is more delicate whilst still slightly glowing.
I also used Naked Glow as the background for the flower nails and added some simple gold gems to the other two nails.
I then created the flower background using Beach Bag on a dotting tool and creating a blob. Great term I know. Then adding random petal lines with the new colour I mixed. And to finish adding a few tiny lines of white.
Then using a Green Gladiola from the Sticky Fingers Collection I added some leaves. This was a really simple mani to create and I love how it turned out. But me being me also decided to add a little glitter topcoat to the middle nail!
If anyone it interested the brushes I used were also from Models Own. I used the tiny brush for the details on the flowers and the small flat brush for clean up.
I think this look is perfect for both summer and winter.
Thanks for reading and I hope you like them as much as I do!
